In 2002, three well-known ammunition manufacturing facilities in Switzerland, Germany and Sweden merged to form RUAG Ammotec, a division of The RUAG Holding AG with headquarters in Bern, Switzerland. In 2009, ammunition plants in Hungary and the U.S.A. joined the division. RUAG Ammotec USA is the manufacturing and marketing arm of the division in the North American sporting and law enforcement ammunition markets.

Our dedication to superior quality has become legendary. All RUAG ammunition is manufactured in total conformance with CIP, SAAMI or NATO specifications. In addition, RUAG Ammotec commercial packaging meets all DOT and UN shipping safety and labeling requirements. Every phase of RUAG ammunition production is subjected to continuous quality control checks. Frequent tests confirm muzzle velocity, chamber pressure, accuracy and functioning. All finished ammunition is subjected to a 100% visual inspection.
RUAG AMMOTEC USA PRODUCTS
RUAG Ammotec USA is the world and division technology leader in development and manufacture of non-toxic, centerfire ammunition. Our patented, frangible bullets are completely non-toxic (lead-free) and function all firearms without modification. On impact with a hard surface, our frangible bullets break up into small fragments for safety. The bullet residue is recyclable. We load our non-toxic ammunition with RUAG Sintox� lead-free primers. These are the ONLY non-toxic primers that meet all NATO requirements for military service. Ammunition with these primers enables many commercial, indoor shooting ranges to comply with increasingly stringent airborne lead requirements.
